No foreign coach is running for the Pakistan cricket team job.
The revelation came as the Pakistan Cricket Board's coach selection committee short-listed six candidates for the roles of head coach, batting coach and fielding coach.
Committee head and former captain Intikhab Alam said he made two sets of possible candidates for the three posts, which will be forwarded to PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf for final approval, Dawn News reports.
Legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram, a member of the committee, said he was pleased with the absence of foreign candidates, adding that it was now time to promote local coaches.
