A new "rent-a-dress" website promises to help women save a lot of money by allowing them to rent designer bridesmaid dresses at a very low price.
Vowtobechic.com allows a bride or bridesmaid sign up online and fill out an inquiry, after which a bridal stylist sends a link of about 10 to 15 dresses, based on the colour, cut and style preferences, the New York Daily News reported.
The stylists also take into account where and when the wedding is, suggesting pieces from local designers and season-appropriate fabrics, and after a bride has picked a dress, the company based in Santa Monica mails different sizes to the bridesmaids to try on.
Kelsey Doorey, founder, who works with high-end bridal designers and sells the dresses between 95 dollars and 125 dollars, said that it's the designer dress the bride really wants her girls to wear but one she feels bad asking them to buy.
