Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah slammed his successor Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, accusing the latter of changing his stance on the proposed segregated colonies for Kashmiri Pandits in the state.
Omar took to twitter to share his views.
"Will someone please remind Mufti Sb about his answer given to me during Gov. address discussion regarding Jagti type townships in the valley," he posted.
"He was categorical in his assertion that it is the intention of his Govt to build segregated townships for Pandits rather than integration," he added.
Meanwhile, separatist leader Yasin Malik, who too had criticised the proposed colonies, accused the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister of being 'confused'.
"Mufti sahab is himself confused. He says different things at different times. He should first clear out his own confusion. Jammu and Kashmir is a conflict zone and such statements can threaten the lives of the people of the state," Malik told ANI.
"The statement of creating separate townships came from Mufti sahib, only he can give answer on his changing statements," he added.
Earlier in the day, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said that he will take all the stake holders in confidence before accepting Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh's request of creating separate zones for Kashmiri Pandits in the state.
Mufti's statement came after he had earlier on Tuesday assured Rajnath Singh that his government has accepted the demand for creating separate zones for Kashmiri Pandits in the state.
