A video clip showing angry passengers onboard a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight forcing Senator Rehman Malik and PML-N MNA Dr Ramesh Kumar off the plane for causing delays has taken the internet by storm.
According to the Dawn, the irked passengers of an Islamabad-bound PIA flight from Karachi, barred Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Rehman Malik and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Member of National Assembly Dr Ramesh Kumar Wakwani from boarding the aircraft after facing a delay of two and a half hours.
PIA spokesperson Mashood Tajwar later issued a statement saying that the airlines did not promote VIP culture, and that the delay in the flight was due to technical issues and not because of Malik.
In the video, infuriated passengers can be heard saying that the people have taken it for too long- for 68-years- and ask whether they should take it for another 68 years.
The video shows passengers booing and chanting slogans as the duo walk towards the jet.
Meanwhile, hours after the video clip made the rounds on social media, former interior minister Rehman Malik took to Twitter to clarify his position, the report further said.
