One Border Security Force (BSF) personnel was killed and seven others, including three BSF personnel and four civilians were injured in cross-border firing in the RS Pura sector of Jammu on Wednesday.
The BSF jawan reportedly died of a bullet injury to his shoulder. ANI reports that attempts were made to rescue him, but the heavy firing prevented it, and three more got injured.
The injured have been admitted to a government hospital in Jammu and a hospital in R S Pura.
