Oprah Winfrey's cable network OWN will be doing a docuseries on Michael Sam, the gay footballer who was recently chosen by the St. Louis Rams of the NFL Draft.
Winfrey, 60, said that they feel honored that Sam, who came out in February, has trusted them with his story and will focus on the authentic storytelling in their new documentary series format, the Hollywood Reporter reported.
The 24-year-old player said that he's excited to work with Winfrey and will feel great if his story helps in inspiring someone else.
The untitled series will be produced by Craig Piligian and director Amy Rice, who were behind Lindsay Lohan's show 'Lindsay'.
