And the Oscar for Best Picture goes to ..... one of 341 movies.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has released a 341-strong list of films released in 2017 that are eligible to receive the top honour at the star-studded ceremony, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Among the 341 titles are expected awards frontrunners - 'Call Me by Your Name', 'The Shape of Water', 'Get Out', 'Three Billboards Outside Ebbing', 'Dunkirk', 'The Florida Project', 'Blade Runner 2049' and 'Wonder Woman'.
But, there are many movies that will not realistically be in contention. Movies like - 'The Emoji Movie', 'The Mummy', 'Baywatch', 'The Dark Tower' and 'Daddy's Home 2'.
The total number of eligible films is up slightly from 2016, when 336 qualified, and 2015, when 305 films were under consideration.
The Academy's qualifications require that a feature film must have opened in a commercial motion picture theater in Los Angeles County by December 31 for a minimum run of seven consecutive days.
Films must have a running time of more than 40 minutes and must have been exhibited theatrically on 35mm or 70mm film, or in a qualifying digital format.
The last five winners of the best picture Academy Award have been 'Moonlight'(2017), 'Spotlight' (2016), 'Birdman' (2015) '12 Years a Slave' (2014) and 'Argo' (2013).
