Over 30,000 people affected by flood in Assam

In Assam, over 30 thousand people have been affected in flood in Barpeta and Lakhimpur districts.

According to repors, the Brahmaputra and its a few tributaries are flowing above the danger level at some places.

The low lying areas of the Manas national park has been submerged and flood water and erosion also damaged 24 houses at Barpeta district.

Nearly one thousand hectare of crop land have been submerged in flood water.

However no loss of life has been reported so far because of the flood.
