Australia has toned down sledging tactics after heated Ashes Tests in Brisbane and Adelaide, according to reports.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the reporting of Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson and England all-rounder Ben Stokes on Sunday night had a sobering impact on both teams on Monday.
Players from both sides became roaring beasts late on the fourth day as a sledging war escalated to rare and ugly heights during the second Test in Adelaide, the report said.
However, as Australia wrapped up the match inside an hour on the last day to record a crushing 218-run win the combatants became church mice, the report added.
