Pakistan Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has reportedly approved the death warrants of six terrorists, pending execution.

The terrorists were convicted by a Field General Court Martial (FGCM). Sources said that they are expected to be hanged in the next 48 hours, reported the Dawn.

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG Asim Bajwa announced the decision on Twitter.

The move comes a day after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif lifted the moratorium on death penalty in the wake of Tuesday's terror attack on an army-run school in Peshawar that killed 141 people, including 132 children and nine school staff.
