Pakistan's Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has said that the ruling government should willingly quit in order to prevent 'bloodshed' in the country.

Hussain also deemed the demands of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri as justified, reported the Dawn.

The government should be concerned about the safety of women and children who were taking part in anti-government sit-ins in Islamabad, said Hussain.

MQM chief believes that there could be amendments in the demands of protesting parties through dialogues if the government had not been refusing to accept the 'valid' demands.

Hussain said that he was only concerned about political stability of Pakistan and had no interest in becoming the Prime Minister or President.

The MQM chief also urged protesting parties to maintain peace.

PAT chief Qadri earlier announced 'Revolution day' in the country.
