Pak urges UN to defuse tension along LoC

Pakistan's ambassador to the United Nations (UN) has urged the body to step-up and play a role in defusing the tension on the Line of Control (LoC), a report said.

Masood Khan called on UN General Secretary Bank Ki Moon and informed him about the situation on LoC and the Working Boundary, reported The Express Tribune.

Around 20 people are said to have died on both sides of the LoC in cross border firings between the Indian army and Pakistani forces.
