In a bid to show Indian in poor light, Pakistan's Foreign Office on Thursday released a fresh propaganda video of Indian Naval officer Kulbhushan Jadhav in which he is allegedly seen talking about his meeting with his mother and wife.

In the video Jadhav is heard saying that Pakistan is taking care of him.

"I said don't worry Mummy. They (Pakistan) are taking care of me, they have not touched me. She believed me once, she saw me personally," he was heard, as saying in the video.

He was further heard as saying that he is a commissioned officer of the Indian Navy.

"But I have to say one very important thing to the Indian public & Indian govt, and for people in Navy that my Commission has not gone, I am a commissioned officer of Indian Navy," he is further heard, as saying.

Jadhav further said that her mother was very happy to meet him.

"She said, 'I'm feeling very relaxed after seeing you'," he said.

A meeting took place between Jadhav and his family on December 25 in Islamabad, on the request of the Indian government.

India denounced the manner in which Pakistan conducted the meeting.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Raveesh Kumar had then said, "We note with regret that the Pakistani side conducted the meeting in a manner which violated the letter and spirit of our understandings."

"Prior to the meeting, the two governments were in touch through diplomatic channels to work out its modalities and format. There were clear understandings between the two sides and the Indian side scrupulously abided by all its commitments," he added.

Kumar had then concluded by saying that the manner in which the meeting was conducted and its aftermath seemed clearly to be an attempt to bolster a false and unsubstantiated narrative of Jadhav's alleged activities, adding the exercise lacked credibility.

Pakistan claims that Jadhav was arrested in Balochistan on over alleged charges of espionage.

India countered by saying that Jadhav was kidnapped from Iran where he had business interests after retiring from the Indian Navy.

On April 10, 2017, Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Field General Court Martial (FGCM) in Pakistan.

On May 18, 2017, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) stayed his hanging after India protested against the death sentence.

India has accused Pakistan of violating the Vienna and Geneva Conventions governing international human rights.

Pakistan maintains Jadhav is not an ordinary person and had entered the country with the intent of spying and carrying out sabotage activities.
