A total of 18 people have been evacuated from the Qwartz shopping centre in Villeneuve-la-Garenne in the northern suburbs of Paris, where two or three gunmen are believed to be holding up the Primark store.
According to the Daily Express, several police officers entered the shopping centre from a side door.
The shopping center and surrounding area are closed to the public because of the security operation, said police.
The attack comes a day before the Bastille Day celebrations in the country.
