The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) Goa unit on Monday arrested a passenger for carrying three kilograms of gold illegally.
The DRI Goa unit intercepted the passenger who arrived at the Goa Airport from Dubai.
He travelled via Air India Flight No. AI 994 and landed at the Goa Airport at around 3.40 a.m. today.
The man, identified as Abdul Ansari is a resident of Tamil Nadu. He was carrying the gold biscuits in his hand baggage.
He was intercepted by the officers on suspicion of attempting to smuggle gold in kilo bars.
