The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly announced the top category 'A' contracts for five player including Pakistan Test and limited-over captain Misbah-ul-Haq and all-rounder Shahid Afridi.
The three other players that have been offered contracts in the top category are Mohammad Hafeez, Saeed Ajmal and Junaid Khan, as the PCB announced central contracts to 31 players in four categories.
According to Sport24, the PCB demoted middle order batsman Younis Khan to category B, which also includes Ahmad Shahzad, Umar Akmal and Umar Gul.
The contracted players were selected after the PCB director international Zakir Khan, chief selector Moin Khan and camp commandant Mohammad Akram evaluated the players on their fitness during a month-long training camp in Lahore.
The PCB said that the monthly pay and remuneration for Test matches in all the four categories by 25 percent has been increased by 25 percent.
