Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shahryar Khan has expressed that he is 'deeply disappointed' over the national team's 3-0 drubbing in the one-day series by Bangladesh, but insisted that there is no need to press the panic button as they are aiming to restore some pride in the upcoming T20 and Test series.

The Azhar Ali-led team suffered a complete whitewash following an eight-wicket defeat to a proficient Bangladesh side in Dhaka on Wednesday, as a result of which, they have dropped to number eight in the ODI Rankings.

In light of the team's poor display in the one-day series, Shahryar said that they would not be pressing any panic buttons but would wait for the tour's end before engaging in a thorough review of all factors, the Dawn reported.

Shahryar, meanwhile, lavished praises on a highly proficient Bangladesh team, saying that the opponents have improved by leaps and bounds over the past few years.

Shahryar also that Pakistan team would take time to gel together, insisting that they need to specially evaluate fitness and fielding issues, and also the mental strength of their players, which was found wanting.

Pakistan will square off against Bangladesh in a one-off Twenty20 on Friday before the start of a two-Test series.
