People in Asia will now be able to relish special food - such as crabs from Hokkaido, Miyazaki beef, and Hyuganatsu tangerine fruits from Miyazaki, thanks to TA-Q-BIN courier service run by Yamato Transport

TA-Q-BIN has recently started its international courier service to cities in Asia in collaboration with All Nippon Airways (ANA).

It ensures the delivery of goods in two days following the establishment of 24 hours import ANA export customs clearance at Okinawa distribution hub.

"TA-Q-BIN is our international courier service that provides delivery service to five countries - Taiwan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore and Malaysia. Yamato Transport's partnership with ANA Air Cargo and rapid customs clearance at Okinawa airport make the express delivery possible. We provide the shortest delivery time - by afternoon of the next day," Said Kenkichi Kina, Managing Director, The Global Division, Okinawa Yamato Transport Co. Ltd.

Okinawa, an island located in south Japan, is the key to success of cargo service to Asia.

All Nippon Airways is planning to increase the number of cargo aircraft to connect to Asia.

"Japanese cargo companies are thinking about connecting Japan and overseas in only two point directions. We wanted to establish three way delivery - from overseas to Japan and to overseas through this distribution hub. It was not working out well in the beginning, but we developed our services to correspond with the market needs earned by our sales effort in recent years. Also, we are developing express delivery services with Yamato to handle perishable food from Japan to overseas. It requires swift transportation. Express transportation needs are growing rapidly," said Kenichi Wakiya, Dy. Director, Cargo Marketing and Sales Planning, All Nippon Airways Co. Ltd.

This year, All Nippon Airways has started international refrigerator Cool TA-Q-BIN service to Hong Kong on an experiment basis.

In the near future it will start operations to other parts of Asia to deliver fresh food from Japan.
