Asserting that the people of Bihar will vote for change, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sushil Kumar Modi on Monday said the grand alliance of JD(U), RJD and the Congress will be rejected by the people of the state.
"The people of Bihar will vote for change. I am confident that the NDA will form the next government in Bihar. The grand alliance is now only an alliance after Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) moved out. The people of Bihar have rejected the alliance of the Congress, RJD and the JD (U)," Sushil Modi told ANI here.
"The BJP has successfully allocated seats. Our alliance with Ram Vilas Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) is very much strong since the Lok Sabha elections," he added.
The BJP will contest 160 of the 243 seats in Bihar.
The term of the 243-member Bihar Assembly comes to an end on November 29. The polls in the state will begin on October 12 and conclude on November 5. Counting of votes will take place on November 8.
