Real Madrid's president Florentino Perez is reportedly set to bring in Paris-Saint-Germain (PSG) manager Carlo Ancelotti as the eventual successor of Jose Mourinho and intends to lure Manchester United's striker Wayne Rooney at 25 million pounds, although he does not wish to swap Real's forward Cristiano Ronaldo for Rooney.
Perez's plans to bring in Rooney at Real come amid speculations that Rooney might plan to leave United following his transfer request, the Mirror reports.
According to the report, Perez intends to reunite Rooney and Ronaldo at Real and exchange is not on his agenda.
The report said that while Perez is eyeing Ancelotti as Real's new manager, PSG wants Ancelotti to stay on with the club.
Rooney is being eyed by PSG, Arsenal and Chelsea apart from Real but if Rooney switches teams, Real will be his priority, the report added.
