The Asiana Airlines plane that crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport, killing two Chinese teenagers and injuring 182 others, was due to the pilot's error.

A picture of the charred cabin of the plane has been released, as experts said that evidence pointed towards pilot error.

According to Sky News, the image, which was posted on Twitter by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), shows the burnt-out interior of the Boeing 777.

Investigators said that no evidence of mechanical problems has been found, diverting the focus of the investigation on to the pilots, the report said.

According to the report, NTSB Chairman Deborah Hersman said Asiana Flight 214 showed no signs of a breakdown, but voice recordings showed the pilots had failed to notice that their approach was dangerously low and slow until it was too late.

Investigators have stressed that nothing has been definitively ruled out and no firm conclusions reached.

The agency's final evaluation is expected to take more than a year.
