PM Modi arrives for CEC meeting in New Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting here.

Attended by key office bearers of the party, including party president Amit Shah, the BJP is expected to discuss the political deadlock which has plagued the Delhi Government after Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung reportedly wrote to President Pranab Mukherjee, seeking permission to invite the single largest party - the BJP - to form the government in the city.

Also expected to be discussed are the names of the candidates for the upcoming legislative assembly elections in Haryana.
