PM Modi congratulates Indian hockey team for winning bronze in Azlan Shah Cup tournament

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated the Indian hockey team for winning a bronze medal after beating Korea in the Azlan Shah Cup tournament.

"In the midst of meetings with German CEOs, got the news about the Bronze in Azlan Shah Cup. Congratulations to Indian Hockey Team," the Prime Minister tweeted.

Earlier in the day, the Indian hockey team won a bronze after beating Korea 4-1 in a penalty shoot-out after both the teams were locked at 2-2 at regulation time, finishing a creditable third in the 24th Sultan Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament.
