Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a round table discussion with Australian CEOs here on Tuesday, during which he reportedly discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation education, services, energy, banking and information technology.
"CEO Mode. PM @narendramodi at CEOs Roundtable. Discussing, education, services, energy, banking and IT in Melbourne," Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin tweeted.
"PM @narendramodi in meet with Australian institutional investors -Seek your suggestions and assessment as you have a global perspective," he said in another tweet.
The Prime Minister's Office also tweeted about the meeting with industry leaders in Melbourne
"Democratic values connect us. Want to hear from you all PM @narendramodi begins an interaction with industry leaders in Melbourne," PMO's twitter handle said.
Prime Minister Modi, who arrived in Melbourne earlier today, also met the Governor of Victoria, Alex Chernov.
Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to attend an expatriate Indian community reception at the 161-year-old historic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) and two other events hosted by his Australian counterpart Tony Abbott.
