Prime Minister Narendra Modi met U.S Secretary of State John Kerry at 7 Race Course Road here today.
The two of them reportedly discussed bilateral as well as global issues of mutual interest to the countries.
This visit is also significant as it will create the ground for Modi's visit to the US in September this year.
Kerry is on a three day visit to India.
Kerry had earlier met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj yesterday for the fifth Indo- US Strategic Dialogue in which the two sides discussed transformative initiatives in key areas of security and energy.
He had also met Finance and Defence Minister Arun Jaitley along with Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker.
The U.S Secretary of State had said yesterday that United States and India can and will be indispensable partners of the 21st century, at the fifth Indo- US Strategic Dialogue.
