PM Modi thanks farmers for showing patience during economic change

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised the country's farmers for their efforts and patience in the face of economic change.

"Our farmers are an important source of our economy. Due to the change in economic policy, they are also suffering, every citizen is trying to adjust. But I want to especially appreciate and thank the farmers of the country," said PM Modi in his Mann Ki Baat address.

He further said that despite difficulties faced by the farmers, sowing levels have considerably this year as compared to last year.

"The government has taken several steps for the farmers, but still there are some difficulties. But I believe that the way farmers have overcome all natural calamities, they will overcome this one also," he said.
