Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been booked by Pakistan's Punjab Government under terrorism and other charges for inciting the crowd to violate law on July 13 at the time of arrival of Nawaz Sharif from London.

Sharif's son Hamza and 50 others were also booked under the same charges, the Dawn reported.

Shehbaz and Hamza have been accused of pelting stones on the law enforcement agencies officials allegedly with an intention to kill them, said the FIR lodged with the Lohari police station.

The PML-N leaders have also been accused of damaging public buildings and properties and hurling threats to the law enforcement agencies officials.

Apart from this, they are also accused of interfering in the official work, violating Section 144 of PPC (Pakistan Penal Code) and the code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the candidates, contesting the forthcoming General Election.

As per the Lahore police operations wing DIG Shahzad Akbar, a total of 12 FIRs had been lodged against the suspects.

On July 13, numbers of PML-N supporters, who were on their way to Lahore airport to receive Nawaz Sharif, were detained by the Pakistan Police.
