Singer Sir Cliff Richard might be relieved, as police have failed to uncover evidence to back up claims that he attacked two men.

The 74-year-old has supposedly handed over evidence to the police which states that he was never alone with the men, who had alleged that he assaulted them in the 80s, the Daily Star reports.

A friend of the singer said that Cliff has given the police evidence that he was never on his own on the days when the alleged attacks took place.

The British pop star has denied all the allegations, terming them as "absurd and untrue".
