Rapper Sheyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, better known as 21 Savage was not seen in attendance at the Grammy's this year. However, his absence was not unnoticed by fellow artists.

American rapper Post Malone performed his collaboration with 21 Savage titled 'Rockstar' at the award ceremony but he didn't address the controversy surrounding 21 Savage outright, reported Variety.

However, a picture of Malone wearing a t-shirt which reads 21 Savage was released to the media shortly after that.

Even prior to the show, Malone has been vocal and showed support for 21 Savage. He even advertised a petition for the rapper on his Instagram account a few days back.

Joining Malone in extending support for 21 Savage was 'This is America's' producer Ludwig Göransson. During his acceptance speech for record of the year, Göransson thanked a couple of people from the industry including 21 Savage, saying that he "should be here right now."

Dua Lipa also vocalised her support for the rapper and commented on his arrest.

"It's quite upsetting given that he hasn't actually done anything and he's also given so much to American culture even being a Brit," Lipa said backstage.

A number of 21 Savage fans were also out present in front of the Staples Centre, protesting the arrest of the rapper with signs reading "Free 21 Savage.

21 Savage made headlines after he was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Atlanta for allegedly overstaying his visa. According to an ICE spokesperson, the rapper legally entered the U.S. in July 2005 on a visa that expired a year later. He is still in detention.
