President Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the King and people of Bahrain on the eve of the national day of that country.
In his message to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, the President said, "On behalf of the Government and the people of India and on my own behalf, it gives me immense pleasure to extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Majesty and to the friendly people of Bahrain on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Bahrain."
President Mukherjee also expressed hope that the India-Bahrain ties would deepen and expand in the future.
"India deeply values its close and friendly relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, marked by vibrant people-to-people contacts. The landmark State visit to India by Your Majesty in February this year has taken this bilateral partnership to new heights. I am confident the mutually beneficial cooperation between our two countries will continue to deepen and expand in the years to come," he said.
"Please accept, Your Majesty, my best wishes for your good health and well-being, and for the continued progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Kingdom of Bahrain," he added.
