President Mukherjee extends greetings on the eve of Republic Day of Trinidad and Tobago

The President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, has extended his greetings and felicitations to the government and people of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on the eve of their Republic Day today.

In a message to the President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, Anthony Carmona, President Mukherjee said, "On the occasion of the Republic Day of Trinidad and Tobago, it gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and felicitations on behalf of the Government and the people of India."

"India and Trinidad and Tobago enjoy close bilateral relations, nurtured by historical and cultural ties. Our relations have diversified further in recent times, and I am confident that these bonds between our two countries will continue to strengthen in the years to come," he added.

"I take this opportunity to convey my best wishes for your well-being and for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Trinidad and Tobago", President Mukherjee concluded.
