Scottish golfer Stephen Gallacher has said that the pressure of playing at home has been eased by Andy Murray's win at Wimbledon, which has made him feel more relaxed before he takes part in the Scottish Open.
According to The Scotsman, Gallacher is backed up by 18 fellow Scots and is ready to handle the home pressure in the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open starting tomorrow.
The golfer said that although there was an obvious pressure playing at home but, it depended on how one used it, adding that you can not let it get to you and try too hard.
He also said that he had met Murray at the start of the year in Abu Dhabi where he was playing in an exhibition and he had bumped into his strength and conditioning coach who had helped the golfer.
