United States prosecutors have charged two Vietnamese and a Canadian for allegedly stealing nearly a billion email addresses by hacking into eight email service providers, which the prosecutors claim is one of the biggest breaches in American history.

According to BBC, the hackers used the data to sell tens of millions of people fake products worth over two million dollars.

The Court documents do not disclose which email companies were hacked.

The government said that the two Vietnamese men used the stolen email address to mislead people to websites selling fake Adobe Systems Inc software.
