England skipper Alastair Cook feels proud with the way his team bounced back to save the first Test, and hopes that his side will continue with the same resilience as they had shown against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi.
The first Test of the three-match series ended with a dramatic draw after Adil Rashid claimed a five-wicket haul to dismiss Pakistan for a paltry 173 in the second innings.
Lavishing praise on Adil Rashid, the 30-year-old said that the former handled the pressure extremely well and changed the game very quickly, Sport24 reported.
Speaking on his brilliant first-inning score of 263 runs, the stylish left-handed batsman said that he is also surprised to have such a good subcontinent record.
Meanwhile, Pakistan skipper Misbah-ul-Haq said that he was relieved that at least they are not 0-1 against England.
Besides three Tests, England will also play four ODIs and three T20s against Pakistan.
They will play their second Test on October 22 in Dubai.
