The Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday gunned down an infiltrator in Punjab's Pathankot.
The infiltration took place in Bamial sector of Pathankot.
A similar such attempt was made by an intruder in December 2015 where the BSF troopers shot down a suspect at Dhinda post in Pathankot district of Punjab.
He came close to the border fencing in Bamial area.
Pathankot had seen a major terror attack in January 2015 when heavily-armed terrorists who had sneaked in from across the border attacked an air base.
