A day after the United States conducted air strikes targeting the Syrian faction of Al Qaeda, the terror group, Khorasan has reportedly released a statement saying that its leader has been killed in the attack.
The Al Qaeda-linked Al Nusra front identified its leader as Abu Yousef al-Turki, also known as "The Turk" and posted his photo as a proof of death on Twitter, reported the CNN.
While Al Nusra's claims could not be verified, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the terror group was among those targeted during the airstrikes.
The U.S. has however, not identified Al Nusra as a target in the air strikes.
