Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested a leader of the Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) on Monday in connection with August 17, 2005 series bomb blasts case.
Thirty-year-old Sagir Hossain was arrested in the Bhatara area of Dhaka and is a charge sheeted accused in the August 17, 2005 blasts case, the Daily Star reports.
On August 17, 2005, around 500 bombs went off at 300 locations in 63 out of the 64 districts of the country. The bombs exploded over a period of 30 minutes between 11.30 a.m. and noon.
The Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) had then claimed responsibility for the blasts.
