Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Friday alleged that the NDA Government at Centre is biased towards states ruled by the saffron party, adding that there was an existing agricultural crisis in the country.

Responding to a question that there was discrimination by the Centre for Congress ruled states, Rahul said, "They have a different policy for any state that is Congress ruled."

Talking to the media after meeting the families of farmers who committed suicide, Rahul said "The support that the central government should be giving to the state is missing."

"The Central Government haven't taken the demands of the states seriously, it doesn't seem to think that agriculture or farmer is important anymore," he added.

He accused the Centre of not having any strategy which has led to rise in the number of suicide farmers'.

"Whether it's issue of MSP or crops being destroyed as a result of bad weather, Centre don't seem to have a strategy and this is very unfortunate incident as farmers are committing suicide in large number," he added.
