Congress party vice president Rahul Gandhi will meet the farmers who were affected by the recent unseasonal rain in his parliamentary constituency Amethi today.
Arriving on Monday, Rahul Gandhi had said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre had cancelled the Amethi Food Park out of vengeance.
"If the food park comes to existence you all will benefit from it. The BJP cancelled the Food Park just out of vengeance," Gandhi said.
"It is sad that there is no Congress Government in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. But whatever we can do, be it on the roads, in the Lok Sabha, in the Vidhan Sabha and in the Rajya Sabha, we will definitely do," he added.
Rahul Gandhi is currently on a three-day visit to Amethi, his first visit since December 2014.
