Criticising Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju for delaying an Air India flight, Congress leader Rita Bahuguna Joshi on Thursday said that people, who are in power, cannot break civil aviation laws.
"This is a very serious matter. The people, who are in power, cannot break the laws.... This is absolutely wrong. Just because you are a VIP that does not mean you will make others suffer. You cannot break the civil aviations laws. The government should be careful about such things and not repeat them," said Rita Bahuguna.
Rijiju has come under fire after he allegedly caused three people to be de-boarded from an Air India flight plying from Leh to Delhi.
However, the Minister has denied all the allegations and said he was not aware of the same.
