Robert Downey Jr. has confirmed that third film of 'Sherlock' series is under development.

The 'Iron Man' star, who participated in the famous Reddit AMA to promote his upcoming film 'The Judge', said that they want it to be the best of the series, so that's a pretty tall order and that Perry Mason is a property he's looking forward to developing further, going back to the 1931 book series, E Online reported.

He said that the new film will mine the original material for things that are 'new', in the same way that they did with the first two films.

Downey's co-star Jude Law had hinted last year that they had a meeting, the three of them, and he thinks it's being written now.
