Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur sensation Harry Kane, expressing that it would be exciting to have the striker in his team.

Kane, who scored 31 goals last season, has been billed as one of United's key summer transfer targets, with the team willing to make a 40million dollar bid for the England international.

Describing Kane as fantastic, Rooney said that the striker burst onto the scene this season, adding that it would be exciting to have him in his team, the Mirror reported.

United finished fourth in the Premier League table, 17 points behind winners Chelsea, in the last season.
