Prince George Alexander Louis, the first-born son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will be baptized by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Reverend Justin Welby, on 23rd October, it has been revealed.
According to the announcement made by Kensington Palace, the private ceremony will be held at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace, the Daily Express reported.
The Palace said in a brief statement that Kate and Prince William were "pleased" to announce the christening of their son, who was born on 22nd July.
Meanwhile, Reverend Welby said he was delighted to be invited to baptize Prince George and it was a great privilege and honour.
The Reverend added that he is looking forward to welcoming the royal baby into the family of the church.
