Authorities in Pakistan have confirmed that the Samjhauta Express will leave Lahore for Attari on Monday at its scheduled time.

A railway official was quoted by the Dawn, as saying that tickets issued to passengers on Thursday to travel to India, will be valid for Monday.

According to reports, India had suspended the train service on Thursday due to an ongoing farmers protest in Punjab.

The administration in Indian-administered Punjab will be holding a meeting on Monday evening to resolve the issues that contributed to the ongoing protest.
