World number one Serena Williams is making every effort as she seeks to extend her Grand Slam singles titles to 18 at the U.S. Open.

Williams has not made through the fourth round of a major this year, reports News24.

Serena Williams does not seem to surrender her crown without the fight as she has won two of her five 2014 titles in the buildup to the Open.

Serbian professional tennis player Ana Ivanovic said that she had felt embarrassed walking from one side to the other for returns at the Australian Open.

It was a long way from Ivanovic's fourth-round victory over Serena Williams, where Williams was stalled due to back pain.
