Congress General Secretary Shakeel Ahmad today demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi's clarification over the issue of bugging in Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari.
"PM must give a clarification on this issue. I demand that a credible investigation should be carried out into this," said Ahmad.
Earlier today, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had clarified that there is no truth in the reports which appeared in the media that bugging devices were found inside Gadkari's house.
The bugging row had caused fireworks in Parliament today as both houses were adjourned within minutes after a four-day break.
The Rajya Sabha was adjourned twice on this issue as an angry opposition reportedly chanted slogans for a JPC.
In the Lok Sabha, the Congress, Samajwadi Party and Janata Dal (United) had reportedly demanded that the question hour be suspended to take up the bugging case.
