'Shameless' actor lands lead role in thriller 'Urge'

'Shameless' actor Justin Chatwin has been roped in for a lead role indie thriller titled 'Urge' which also stars Pierce Brosnan.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, veteran producer Aaron Kaufman known for his movie like 'Machete', 'Sin City: A Dame to Kill For', 'Chef' is making his directorial debut with the film.

The story revolves around a group of friends who escape to an island and find themselves unable to resist trying a new designer drug but the drug makes people lose the ability to control their urges.

Chatwin will play the film's protagonist and Brosnan will be playing the creator and gatekeeper of the island's new drug.

The cast also features Ashley Greene, Danny Masterson, Bar Paly, Alexis Knapp, Chris Geere and Nick Thune.
