Aam Aadmi Party founder member Shanti Bhushan on Tuesday said nobody can question his integrity and added that his family was the most honest family in the country.
"Our family is the most honest family in the country. I challenge anybody to challenge this. Nobody can question our integrity, neither Prashant's integrity nor mine," Bhushan said.
"We don't have to go to court because our integrity is well established everywhere in the country. Everyone believes in our integrity," he added.
His comments came after AAP leader Ashish Khetan said the Bhushan family had amassed property worth over Rs.500 crore and said he wanted to know whether it was earned through PILs.
The Aam Aadmi Party had yesterday expelled four of its rebel leaders including founding-members, Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav for "anti-party activities".
The decision was taken by party's disciplinary committee.
Party members Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha too were shown the door along with Bhushan and Yadav.
The AAP's disciplinary committee had on April 17 served notices to Bhushan, Yadav, Kumar and Jha accusing them of indulging in anti-party activities by holding a Swaraj Samvad meeting to decide the way forward for the party.
Bhushan, Yadav and Kumar had replied to the show-cause notice.
Bhushan, in his letter, said, "All of these purported decisions taken since the NC (national disciplinary committee) meeting are illegal since the constitution of the NE itself has been illegal since the NC meeting".
The committee found the responses by the leaders "unsatisfactory".
