Sharif launches PM National Health Programme in Islamabad

Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has launched the Prime Minister's National Health Programme in the capital to provide medical facilities to families living below the poverty line.

According to The Express Tribune, Sharif said that it was their duty to provide best medical facility to these people and that the programme was a stepping stone in carrying out their responsibilities.

Sharif's comments came at an inaugural ceremony of the National Health Programme.

He also stressed that there should not be any politics involved in health-related initiatives.
