The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday confirmed that it has filed its reply on a bail plea of former media honcho Peter Mukherjea, who has been booked for his alleged role in the April 2012 murder of his step daughter Sheena Bora.
Filing its reply in a special CBI court, the CBI said that it is opposed to Mukherjea being granted bail.
The next hearing of the Mukherjea-related case has been scheduled for January 30.
Earlier, his judicial custody was extended till January 25.
Mukherjea was arrested on November 19. His wife, Indrani Mukherjee, is in prison for allegedly murdering Sheena, who is Indrani's daughter from an earlier relationship.
